BORDEAUX VILLA

How do you make a villa fly? Bordeaux Villa, designed with Rem Koolhaas, is a seminal piece of architecture breaking with traditional ideas of support and structure. The one-storey home gathers momentum and ‘takes off’, with load and weight becoming mass and energy. The trick is the extreme condition of the support, lifting the villa off the ground and giving the illusion of a defiance of gravity.
